Having made acquisitions across the ERP automation, process analytics and data connectivity spaces, Magnitude had strong IP and a portfolio of best-in-class software producs, but was underperforming against market growth with fragmented product messaging. The company needed to present a cohesive brand and product story order to present a unified customer experience, facilitate cross-selling, and build market positioning to support ambitious growth goals.
Solution
Working together as agency and client, we developed a new logo and brand identity system, creating a versatile and impactful visual vocabulary. A revised product branding architecture was implemented, streamlining and integrating product branding and connecting these products into a common messaging framework and corporate positioning, focused on the business outcomes the company's platform delivers for some of the world's largest enterprises.

The new brand identity system, transformative corporate positioning and platform strategy helped the company raise its profile, build positive analyst and influencer traction, and achieve record year-over-year growth prior to its strategic acquisition by Insightsoftware in 2020 at a 2.6x multiple of invested capital, representing an IRR of 47 percent to the primary shareholder, 3i Group.
